Days/2 Nights
Day
1 – Ride
from the hotel to either the Tropical Hotel Pier or Port of Manaus.
On a regional boat, ride down the river overlooking the city’s
shores – “palafitas-type” houses, Customs and Guardamoria
buildings, Adolpho Lisboa Municipal Market and several creeks that
cut through the city. Arrival at the Meeting of the Waters, the fabulous
meeting of the Negro and Solimões Rivers that run side by
side for over 12 km without mixing. The reason for this phenomenon
is the difference in temperature, density and speed of the waters
between the two rivers. Immediate departure to Janauari Lake, with
a stopover at a crafts market operated by local natives. Lunch on
board the boat or at a typical floating restaurant. In the afternoon
a ride on motorized canoes through creeks and flooded forest including
a visit to the beautiful water lilies, an aquatic plant that reaches
almost two meters in circumference, with borders of up to 10 cm in
height. During the trip the tourist will get to know the way of life
of the river residents, their habits and customs. Departure from
Janauari Lake toward Anavilhanas Archipelago, considered the biggest
in the world, with more than 400 islands. Watch a fantastic Amazonian
sunset, reflected in the dark waters of the Negro River. Dinner and
overnight stay on the boat.
Day 2 – Breakfast – Tour on motorized canoes, fishing for piranha
and other Amazonian species, using Indian methods (pole, currico, and spear).
Lunch will be served on board the boat or at one of the beautiful beaches of
the Negro River, including in the menu the fresh fish caught during the fishing
trip. After lunch departure on motorized canoes for a visit to a family of
local natives, at the same time the tour guide will give interesting information
about the way of life of the river residents. Stop at a “flour house”,
place where the manioc flour is made, still the old fashion way. After dinner,
the exciting tour for “alligator shining”, the animals are captured
by the tour guide with their hands, and then returned to nature unharmed. Overnight
stay at the boat. Trip down Negro River towards Manaus.
Day
3 – Breakfast – Walk
in the jungle with the help of a local experienced guide, which will
provide the tourists important information about the fauna and flora,
besides theoretic and practical knowledge of survival. Stop for a
swim on the river, at one of the many beaches of Negro river. Lunch
on board. Trip back to Manaus, arriving at the end of the day.

Day
1 – Ride

Trip down Negro River observing the city’s shore – the
house “palafitas” style, Customs and Guardamoria buildings,
the Municipal Market Adolpho Lisboa and the several creeks that cross
Manaus. Arrival at the Meeting of the waters” a spectacular
meeting of Negro and Solimões Rivers, that runs together for
over 12kms without mixing. The phenomenon happens due to the difference
in temperature, density and speed of the rivers’ waters. Continue
to Janauari Lake, with a stop at a center of art craft, operated
by local natives. Lunch will be served on board the boat or at a
typical floating restaurant. In the afternoon there will be a motorized
canoe ride through the creeks(igarapés) and flooded forest
(Igapó), including a visit to the beautiful water lilies (Victoria
amazonica), an aquatic plant that reaches almost two meters in circumference
, with borders of up to 10 cm of height.

2 -
Tour on motorized canoes, fishing for piranha and other Amazonian species,
using Indian methods (pole, currico, and spear). Lunch will
be served on board the boat or at one of the beautiful beaches of
the Negro River, including in the menu the fresh fish caught during
the fishing trip. After lunch a ride on motorized canoes. In the
afternoon there will be a ride on motorized canoes through creeks
and flooded forest including a visit to the beautiful water lilies,
an aquatic plant that reaches almost two meters in circumference,
with borders of up to 10 cm in height. Great opportunity for birdwatching.
After dinner there will be an exciting tour for “alligator
shinning” – the animals are captured by the guides with
their hands and returned to nature unharmed. Overnight stay on the
boat.
Day
3 – Breakfast.
Departure on motorized canoes, for a visit to a family of Caboclos
(local natives), when the guides will give important information
about the way of life of the river bank residents. Stop at a house
of flour, a place where the manioc flour is made, still the old fashion
way. Lunch will be served on board the boat. In the afternoon a visit
to the city of Novo Airão. Overnight stay on the boat. Trip
down Negro River towards Manaus.
Day
4 – Breakfast.
Walk in the jungle with the help of a local experienced guide, which
will provide the tourists important information about the fauna and
flora, besides theoretic and practical knowledge of survival. Stop
for a swim on the river, at one of the many beaches of Negro river.
Lunch will be served on board the boat. Trip back to Manaus, arriving
at the end of the day.

Day

of Manaus. Ride up the river on a tour boat (local or luxury boat)
going towards Anavilhanas Archipelago, considered the biggest in
the world with over 400 islands. Stop at Arara’s creek for
a tour on motorized canoes around the jungle. Lunch will be served
on board the boat. Continue the trip on the right margin of the
river, watching the beautiful scenery and the existence of small
villages on the river banks around Tatu creek. After dinner there
will be an exciting tour of “alligator shinning” – the
animals are captured by the guides with their hands and returned
to nature unharmed. Overnight stay on the boat.
Days
2 & 3 – Watch the sunset at Negro River. Breakfast. Walk
in the jungle with the help of a local experienced guide, which
will provide the tourists important information about the Amazonian
fauna and flora. Lunch in the jungle. During the afternoon the
guide with the help of a local guide, will minister a quick course
on survival, theory and practical knowledge about the subject.
Dinner. Overnight stay on the boat or at a jungle camp, depending
on the tourist’s choice.
Day
4 - Departure on motorized canoe to visit a typical “flour
house”, where the natives make the traditional manioc flour.
Visit to the field of Medicinal plants and to see up close the
native plantations of “Amazonas’ nut”. Continuing
the trip to a rustic camp ground, inside the Anavilhanas Archipelago.
Lunch will be served on board the boat. In the afternoon, on motorized
canoes there will be a visit to the archipelago, today changed
into an Ecologic Station, with the high point being a fishing trip
at lakes with a variety of Amazonian fishes, including piranha.
Watch the wonderful scenery of sunset, with its beautiful reflexes
on the waters that surround the islands. Dinner on board the boat,
including in the menu the fish caught during the fishing trip.
Overnight stay on the boat.
Day
5 – Travel towards the largest conglomerate of islands in
the world: the Anavilhanas Archipelago. Lunch will be served on
board the boat. Departure on motorized canoes, for a trip to fish
black piranhas, the biggest of its kind, which are abundant at
that region. As the sun goes down, we will cross Negro River to
its left margin, on a trip of almost 15kms, to “Jaraqui indigenous
community”, a small village inhabited by Indian descendents.
Dinner on the boat. Overnight stay on the boat.
Day
6 – Breakfast. Trip on motorized canoes to “Terra Preta
Community”, inhabited by civilized Indians. A day of activities,
getting to know the customs and ways of life of the population.
Visit to a manioc field and to a “house of flour”,
where manioc flour is produced still the old fashion way. Lunch
included. Return to the boat. Dinner and overnight stay on the
boat. Night trip going down Negro River towards Solimões
River.
Day
7 – Breakfast. Trip up Solimões River, towards Janauacá Lake.
Lunch. Arrival at the lake and immediate departure on motorized
canoes to tour the creeks and flooded jungle of the area. In the
afternoon there will be a visit to a typical village, including
a walk to see the local attractions – church, school, medical
post and City Hall. At the end of the afternoon there’s a
chance to see the biggest habitat of the herons of the area, at
which opportunity many other species of birds can be seen. Dinner
aboard the boat. Overnight stay.
Day
8 – Breakfast. Departure for a rustic fishing trip, using
typical methods (pole, currico, etc) with the help of a specialized
fishing guide from the area. Lunch will be served on board the
boat. Trip from Janauacá Lake towards Janauari Lake. Arrival
and immediate lunch at a typical floating restaurant. Visit to
an art craft center, operated by local natives. Dinner and overnight
stay on the boat.
Day
9 – Breakfast. Trip towards the meeting of the waters,
a spectacular phenomenon of the meeting of the Negro and Solimões
Rivers, which run together, side by side, without mixing. The cause
of this phenomenon is due to the difference in temperature, density
and speed of the river’s waters. Lunch and dinner included.
Overnight stay on the boat.
Day 10 - Breakfast.
Return trip to Manaus, with
expected arrival at the Floating Port at 12:00 noon.
Trip back to the hotel.
